microsoft visual studio only recognizes C++, not Fortran

I have installed a Parallel Studio XE 2011 and a Microsoft Visual Studio (VS) to edit my programs. The problem is that the VS only recognizes C++.

I can open my old Fortran projects (.dsw) and it runs the old .exe files, but when I make changes in the program it doesn't recognize them because it does not create new .exe files or update the old one.

Please help. Thank you
