im just wondering as to the settings for best 'performance' NOT graphical quality.
and also what each setting does and how it effects the graphical quality/performance.
these are the settings:
asyncronous flip: on/off
tripple buffering: on/off
flipping policy: flip/blit
depth buffer bit depth: 16bit depth buffer/24bit depth buffer/deffault
force S3TC texture compression: on/off
force XFT! texture compression: on/off
driver memory footprint: high/normal/low
texture colour depth: desktop colour depth/16 bit per texel/ 32 bit per texel
anisotropic filtering: off/on/ application control
thanks in advance :)
basically anyone reading this that knows what these settings do and how to best set them, i'de really apreciate if you could just inform me, would be cool :)
and also, my native resolution is 1280x800 @ 60Hz
would playing games at this resolution give better performance, or would a lower res give better performance?
and also, would it make a difference if i changed the computers res to 1024x768 before starting a game client that i aim to play at the same res improve performance, or doesn't it make any difference?
i.e. comp res @ 1280x800 - game client @ 1024x768 {WORSE THAN} comp res @ 1024x768 - game cleint @ 1024x768.
cheers...
