With new construct 2 projects (including rebuilding of previous ones), some sounds load and some don't while previously that wasn't the case. Meantime, the plugin manager tab no longer appears along side the Build settings and Launch icon & splash screen manager tabs with newly created projects.

Sounds like your projects are being interpreted as a "Standard HTML5" app rather than a "Standard HTML5 + Cordova" app. Did you create new projects from a new export from Construct2? Or did you just upgrade existing project files?
You can "upgrade" a "Standard HTML5" app to a "Cordova" app on the Projects tab, see image below:

Thank you Paul. This helped with the "Plugin Management" tab reappearing but not the sound play. In my new builds of both newly exported/previously exported construct 2 projects, some sounds play and some don't despite all sounds being of the same file format. This wasn't the case before.

Ali -- do you mean the sounds do not play in the Simulate tab? In App Preview? In the Debug tab? In a built app? Please clarify. Each of these environments has different limitations, so the context is important.

@Paul
They (some of the audio files) do not play; neither in the emulator nor the virtual mobile device (built app - apk). Beforehand, they did. This even happens with new builds of projects that were originally imported & built successfully (with no problem). Question is why only a handful of the audio files no longer play while others do!?

Problem discovered, Paul. It has to do with the sound compression tech we're using to compress some of our audio files. It's no longer adaptive to the new changes you've made in your upgraded version of xdk...Well, that's how it seems to us.Thanks all the same, buddy.
