Within a quad core xeon (Harpertown or Clovertown) processor can I change the clock speed using enhanced speed step of an individual core?
My understanding is that this is not possible in processors before the Nehelem (Core 7) but I could be wrong.
I am using linux kernel 2.6.28 and have written a basic cpufreq governor to check if this is possible. And as per the results I apperantely can.
I need confirmation before I continue.
