Could you point us to some hints about installing the beta on Windows? I've made several attempts on Windows 8.1 and 10.
It's enough to chase us back to linux.

A more recent attempt, using the prompt to remove non-recommended components, also removing ia32, on win8.1 completed installation of ifort but not icl. The CL appears to match the VS version (all cmd prompt shortcuts have the same label, for VS2013, 2015, and 2017).

If C++ is selected and TBB is deselected, there is a faint message displayed saying that TBB is mandatory. However, the choice makes no difference; on both the Win8.1 and Win10 installations, after installing the last numbered component, the pop-up window states "Software Setup Assistant has stopped working." However, the installation appears successful.
I got the Fortran working well enough to determine on Win8.1 that FINDLOC works correctly but fails to vectorize with the message about multiple exits not recognized as linear search. The missed vectorization produces a fairly large performance deficit for AVX2 but with SSE4 there are cases where it performs as well as if vectorized.
