BIOS parameters on HP SNB for pcm-power.x

Hello,

Can someone tell usthe BIOS parameters that need to be enabled on HP's Sandy Bridge machines to get stats
from pcm-power.x ?

It will vary depending on the platform type (desktop vs. mobile vs. server). The BIOS documentation should be references for the details, however in general, the core and uncore PMU and power related MSRs should be accessible. You should verify that your platform'sBIOSdoes (or does not) use the PMU as this may result in general conflicts with any PMU tool and not just pcm
