Instruction Length Decoder, and ILD_STALL.REGEN

Is there any documentation describing what this event counter means?  The best I can find is "Counts the number of regen stalls" which is obviously not any more enlightening than the name itself.  Is there perhaps documentation describing the ILD itself in more detail, that might let me make an educated guess as to what a "regen" is?
