Hi,
I have been using Intel Xeon E5450 quad core processor for my experiments and I observed that
with the increase in T state (CPU throttling), the static power consumption of the compute node increases
from around 160(T0) to 168(T7) Watts. I am not sure as to why this is happening.
Is this due to the fact that the Linux kernel that I have been using is not tickless.
Can anybody help me with this.
Thanks

Can you provide additional details on your situation.
How do you measure the precise power at the different T states, and how do you measure the state at which your processor is in/
