AX200 and AX210 keeps disconnecting, have to restart driver.

Hi, I've been trying to solve this issue so much to no solution.

I had an AX200 and it would start dropping suddenly, this started a year ago. I've been living with it and from time to time trying to search for solutions. Now it's starting to happen a lot and as a solution I got the AX210 and it still is happening.

I have no idea why this is happening but I have a few event IDs that may help.

-Event ID 6062 (The description for Event ID 6062 from source Netwtw12 cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.)

-Event ID 10002 (Wlan extensibility module has stopped)

-Event 1014 (DNS client events)

I hope theres a solution to this as it happens on both the wifi cards.

Also, the internet doesn't drop out if I use another router (it's older). I think this is because the older router is only 2.4ghz and doesn't have 802.11ac. Maybe this is an issue with the 5ghz band on the Wi-Fi card? Or could it be just my router. Also, this exact issue occurs on another device in the house that has a AX201. This means it happens on three different cards (AX201, AX200, AX210).

Hello pardestakal,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

I am sorry you are having issues with your Intel Wireless adapters, I will be glad to assist.

In order to better assist you, please provide the following information:

  • Were the AX200 and AX201 adapters also added to the system, just as the AX210?
  • Have you made sure the adapters are properly connected?
  • Is there any error code in Device Manager on the Intel Wireless adapter?
  • What is the model of your router?

As well, please try a clean installation of the latest wireless drivers 22.200.2 (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19351/windows-10-and-windows-11-wi-fi-drivers-for-intel-wireless-adapters.html). Make sure to follow the clean installation instructions https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000022173/wireless.html

If the issue persists, please download the Intel® SSU https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows-

Open the application and select "Everything", click on "Scan" to see the system and device information. By default, Intel® SSU will take you to the "Summary View". Click on the menu where it says "Summary" to change to "Detailed View". To save your scan, click on "Next", then "Save". Please attach the file to your reply.

Hi,

  • Were the AX200 and AX201 adapters also added to the system, just as the AX210?

No, the AX201 adapter came with the laptop and the AX200 came with an Asus adapter (ASUS ax200) that I installed into my computer.

  • Have you made sure the adapters are properly connected?

The AX200 and AX201 are definitely connected properly, they came factory and I didn't change them. Later on I tried reconnecting the AX200 and still the same problem.

  • Is there any error code in Device Manager on the Intel Wireless adapter?

Yes, as I stated in my post, I get the error codes:

-Event ID 6062 (The description for Event ID 6062 from source Netwtw12 cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.)

-Event ID 10002 (Wlan extensibility module has stopped)

-Event 1014 (DNS client events)

  • What is the model of your router?

It is a VMG3625-T50B.

Also, I managed to find a workaround which leads to no problems but isn't a solution. If you set your adapter to only 2.4ghz or 5ghz, the problem ceases to exist. Also if you go into the router settings and set your channel to a static channel rather than auto it seems to not occur as frequently. Although, this isn't a solution and this may raise clues to figuring the solution to this which is that the adapter may experience problems when switching channels or bands. This explains as to why my other router had no problems as it was single band (2.4ghz) therefore there was no dual band.
