Hi Intel

we have one BE200 install on Fedora 41

driver version is 90.38c93dbc.0 gl-c0-fm-c0-90.ucode

When BE200 connect to WiFi7 AP  rx stream always only 1

(check AP sta info or T-Put)

And sometimes tx stream is 1, sometimes is 2

Do you know what this situation is?

Thanks

What channel are you using ?

Have you scanned channels for the best one to use for your location ?

Are all your settings in the router correct for the BE connections ?

Cheers

Sorry, i forgot to say BE200 connect to AP is using 2.4G, and in  in shielding room

And we use channel 1 or 6.

"Are all your settings in the router correct for the BE connections ?"

I don't understand what is correct setting for BE200?

Router Setting is BE mode, 20MHz, WPA3 encryption

Hi Austin777,

Apologies for the delayed response from the previous days. The behavior you've cited to related to the MIMO power save mode, also known as spatial multiplexing power save (SMPS) mode, allows the client to save power by keeping one antenna in a receive idle state.

  • Auto SMPS (default): The client decides automatically what SMPS mode to apply depends on different conditions.
  • Dynamic SMPS: The client keeps only one antenna active. The access point (AP) must send request to send (RTS) packet to trigger the client to wake the sleeping radios/antenna before sending MIMO packets.
  • Static SMPS: The client keeps only one antenna active and the AP cannot send MIMO packets to the client.
  • No SMPS: The client always keeps all antennas active and the AP can send MIMO packets to the client.

Ernesto has answered your question, the adapter antennas is in auto smps-default so active antennas vary with wifi load.

The reason I asked about settings in the router is the router power has a bearing on this too.
