How do I enable Monitor Mode in AX210?

Can Intel AX210.NGWG running Linux scan the frequency range and connect to a neighboring access point with the display of clients connected to it (Monitor Mode)? Can Intel AX210.NGWG work on non-standard channels (superchannel) and in the extended frequency range 2312-2732 and 4920-7115 MHz? Are there any external AT commands to control the modem.

Hello Matros,

Thank you for posting on the Intel communities.

In this case, Linux does support monitor mode but it depends on the Linux Driver. The command

line '# iw list' will return what is and is not supported for his wireless card.

And check the following in the output:

Software interface modes (can always be added):

*AP/VLAN

*monitor

It is important for you to know that for setting up monitor mode, you need to check directly with the Wi-Fi Linux community.

Regarding the other questions, please share with us the following information:

  1. Linux distribution and version.
  2. Kernel version.

Also, please download and install the Intel System Support Utility (Intel SSU):

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/18895/intel-system-support-utility-for-the-linux-operating-system.html

Open the application and select "Everything" click on "Scan" to see the system and device information. By default, Intel SSU will take you to the "Summary View". Click on the menu where it says "Summary" to change to "Detailed View".

Click on "Next", save the report and attach it to your response.
