Intel 7260ac support 802.11k

Please advise if the 7260ac adapter (Win 8.1) supports the 802.11k standard?

I have been trying to find detailed tech specs, but they are all more like marketing brochures and have nothing of real substance in them.

Thanks

Hi mickwombat,

Let me help you with this.

Based on the research I have done, I regret to say that the standard in mention is not supported by the Intel® 7260AC card.

Here you can check the information:

Thanks Kevin. In theory though, that should not stop the device from connecting to an ssid that has dot11k enabled?

If the access point has this standard enabled only then the card will not connect to it due to a compatibility issue but if the Access point has other standards than the 11k then it should not be a problem. At least we have not received reports of this.

That is what I am seeing on an Aerohive deployment. Other devices that don't support dot11k can connect fine when it is enabled, but not the 7260ac.

Based on feedback on other forums, it would appear that the 'Quiet IE' field is what the 7260 is having problems with.
