Hello, I have an Asus N550JK laptop with the Intel Dual Band Wireless AC 7260 network adapter on Windows 8.1. It was working fine then it just stopped showing up. It would say that the device was disconnected when going into properties.
I uninstalled and re installed the device then did a chkdsk and it was showing again. I would connect for about 10 minutes then it would show limited connectivity. I am assuming that I need a new adapter but I see others have a lot of problems with it so I am trying to find other solutions.
I have also did netsh winsock reset in CMD as admin and it worked for a little while after rebooting. I have set the roaming aggressiveness to low as well.
I did some other things but don't remember everything at the moment... Any other ideas?

thebrianhem,
Did you install the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 or has it come already installed in your computer when you bought it?

Hello thebrianhem,
Since this wireless card came already installed when you bought this computer, the best option would be to get the drivers from the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) support page.. The drivers found in our web site are generic and thus may not meet the requirements of your system as ASUS did modifications to the card to fit their system. Please, check and see if this link helps you to resolve the issue: http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/N550JK/HelpDesk_Download/ Notebooks & Ultrabooks - N550JK - ASUS or contact them directly.
