Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6E AX210 160MHz - Netwtw14 cannot be found

Hi,

I'm having trouble connecting to 5ghz wifi.
2,4ghz wifi works.
A different device (laptop) has no problem connecting.

This is a new pc I bought. Drivers are updated trough windows and Intel® Driver & Support Assistant.

---------------------------------
After trying to solve the problem I noticed at the Event Viewer several errors:

1)

The description for Event ID 5007 from source Netwtw14 cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

\Device\NDMP5
Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6E AX210 160MHz

The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table

2)
Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6E AX210 160MHz : Has encountered an internal error and has failed.

3)
Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6E AX210 160MHz : Has determined that the network adapter is not functioning properly.

4)
Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6E AX210 160MHz : Has encountered an internal error and has failed.
---------------------------------

Could anyone help me with this?
Thanks in advance

Hi Bananamuffin,

Thank you for reaching out to the Intel Community Forum. I appreciate your message and want to assure you that I’m here to help resolve your concern. To better understand the situation and provide accurate support, could you please share the following details:

  1. Which specific 5GHz network names are visible to you? Are you able to detect any 5GHz networks from your router?
  2. Does your router broadcast separate SSIDs for 2.4GHz and 5GHz, or are they combined? (For example: “MyNetwork” vs. “MyNetwork_2.4G” and “MyNetwork_5G”)
  3. What happens when you attempt to connect to a 5GHz network—do you receive an error message, or does the connection simply fail?
  4. The logs indicate you’re currently connected to 2.4GHz (Channel 1). If your router broadcasts separate bands, can you try manually switching to a 5GHz network?
  5. Have you run the Windows Network Troubleshooter specifically while attempting to connect to 5GHz?
  6. Have you checked your BIOS settings for any Wi-Fi-related options (such as Wi-Fi 6E support or wireless mode settings)?
  7. Since this is a new PC, has 5GHz connectivity ever worked, or has it never worked since you purchased it?

If you have any additional questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Hi Kent,

Thanks for the reply and the wait.

  1. Which specific 5GHz network names are visible to you? Are you able to detect any 5GHz networks from your router?

At the moment i'm using a wifi extender. On the app of the wifi extender i can see wich device is connected and if it is connected to a 2.4 or 5Ghz connection. My laptop can connect to the 5Ghz, but not my PC

  2. Does your router broadcast separate SSIDs for 2.4GHz and 5GHz, or are they combined? (For example: “MyNetwork” vs. “MyNetwork_2.4G” and “MyNetwork_5G”)

It is combined. Only on the wifi extender app I can see if its connected to 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz.

  3. What happens when you attempt to connect to a 5GHz network—do you receive an error message, or does the connection simply fail?

I changed my settings to only connect to 5Ghz. My pc can connect to 5Ghz, but with zero bars on the wifi icon.

  4. The logs indicate you’re currently connected to 2.4GHz (Channel 1). If your router broadcasts separate bands, can you try manually switching to a 5GHz network?

I have manually changed it to 5Ghz in the past, but it doesn't work. I put it on 2.4Ghz to have internet connection.

  5. Have you run the Windows Network Troubleshooter specifically while attempting to connect to 5GHz?

Troubleshooter gives a few errors and it jumps from:
    - no internet connection, connected to local network only
    - not connected, but there are wifi networks are available
    - You're connected to the internet. The network connection quality might be low
    - The DNS service couldn't process the DNS request
    - Can't reach the default gateway

  6. Have you checked your BIOS settings for any Wi-Fi-related options (such as Wi-Fi 6E support or wireless mode settings)?
I have restarted and opened the advanced settings with esc and f2, but I'm afraid I don't know what to do or what to check for. I have been ably to updated my BIOS to the latest update to see if it could solve the problem, but it didn't.

  7. Since this is a new PC, has 5GHz connectivity ever worked, or has it never worked since you purchased it?
I believe it never worked. I discovered the problem while gaming, where the connection sometimes stops for a moment. I think the pc tried to connect to 5Ghz from time to time. This problem is solved by manually put it on and only on the 2.4ghz.
    (device manager -> network adapters -> Wi-Fi 6e ax210... -> advanced settings)

I'm going to try this in a few days to see if its helps.

If you have any advice, I'm happy to try it out.

    Thanks

Hi Bananamuffin,

Thank you for the detailed information. Based on everything you’ve shared, it looks like your PC can detect the 5GHz band but struggles to maintain a usable connection, which is why you’re seeing zero bars, intermittent drops, and those changing troubleshooting messages. Since your laptop connects to 5GHz without issues, the problem seems isolated to the PC’s AX210 module or its configuration. Even if the extender reports a 5GHz connection, it may be rebroadcasting a weaker signal. When you’re at the PC, could you check the extender’s LED indicators or app to see if the PC is physically close enough for a strong 5GHz link?

Combined SSIDs can sometimes confuse certain adapters, especially on new builds. If you can temporarily split the SSIDs (“MyNetwork_2.4G” and “MyNetwork_5G”), it would help me confirm whether the card can latch onto the 5GHz band properly.

Hi Kent,

I have separated the SSIDs to 2.4 and 5ghz.  I can connect with the 5ghz with my laptop and phone on the same location where my pc is.
The pc can find and connect to the 2.4ghz, but I can't connect or even find the 5Ghz.

Sincerely
Arthur

Hi Bananamuffin,

I hope you’re doing well, and thank you for your patience! To help us further analyze and investigate the issue, could you please confirm the following:

  • Is your AX210 Wireless Adapter integrated into the motherboard?
  • Was the AX210 Wireless Adapter installed by you or by the retailer where you purchased the system?

Based on the SSU logs under the Networking section, the system shows an Intel AX210 Wireless Adapter. However, according to the PRIME B850-PLUS motherboard support page, the listed wireless driver is for MediaTek Wi-Fi, and there is no Intel wireless driver mentioned. If you have any additional questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Hi Bananamuffin,

I hope you're doing well! Please note that the error message “Netwtw14 cannot be found” typically occurs when the system attempts to access a driver or component that is either not installed correctly or not registered. Since the wireless card appears to be an upgrade, kindly advise the customer to download and install the latest drivers from the official source: Intel® Wireless Wi-Fi Drivers for Windows® 10 and Windows 11*

If you have any questions or need further clarification, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Hi Kent,

Sorry for the late update.
I have tried the steps provided by n_scott_pearson in the link below
/community.intel.com/t5/Wireless/Intel-R-Wi-Fi-6E-AX210-160MHz-no-Wi-Fi-or-Bluetooth/m-p/1721758

The problem is resolved, I have connection with 5ghz.

To be sure I refused any updates for Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX210.

  • Is your AX210 Wireless Adapter integrated into the motherboard?
  • Was the AX210 Wireless Adapter installed by you or by the retailer where you purchased the system.

I've bought a pre-made computer with everything installed. I believe it is integrated.

Thank you Kent for your patience and support. I appreciate it.

Greetings
Bananamuffin,
