Hello DanVo,
Thank you for reaching out to Intel Communities regarding the high ping latency and timeout issues you're encountering. I acknowledge that you're observing Event IDs 5002, 5005, and 5007 in your Event Logs, which are commonly associated with wireless network connectivity issues.
Please try the following troubleshooting steps:
1) Update Wireless Driver
- Download the newest wireless driver for your wireless adapter (AX211) directly from your computer manufacturer's official support website (Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc.)
- Go 'offline' and ensure your system will not reconnect automatically until you manually connect back later on.
- Uninstall your current wireless driver through Device Manager
- Go to Device Manager.
- Expand the Network Adapters category.
- Right-click your Intel Wireless Adapter and choose to uninstall it.
- Make sure to the option to Delete the driver software for this device is selected.
- Repeat steps 1 through 4 until the option to Delete the driver software for this device is greyed out.
- Restart your computer (make sure system won't still reconnect automatically).
- Install the driver file you've downloaded (from bullet #1)
2) Disable Power Saving Mode
- Open Device Manager
- Locate your wireless network adapter
- Right-click and select "Properties"
- Go to the "Power Management" tab
- Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"
- Click "OK" to save changes
Test and Follow Up After completing the above steps, please test your connection for improvement. If the high ping latency and timeout issues persist, please reply to this email with an update on your results.
Important: When checking for our response, please make sure to check your inbox, spam, and junk folders to ensure you don't miss our next steps.
Best regards,
JeanetteC.

Could you tell me what Event IDs 5002, 5005, and 5007 describe, and under what circumstances they typically occur?

Hello DanVo,
Thank you for your inquiry about Event IDs 5002, 5005, and 5007. Kindly check the details below:
Event ID 5002 - Adapter Not Functioning Properly
Windows reports that the Intel wireless adapter “has determined that the network adapter is not functioning properly.” This usually indicates the driver detected a hardware/firmware malfunction or a severe connectivity failure.
Event ID 5005 – Internal Error / Driver Failure
Windows logs that the Intel wireless adapter “has encountered an internal error and has failed.”
This is typically tied to driver instability, hardware faults, firmware issues, or corrupted network state
Event ID 5007 – Missing Message Resource
The system attempted to log an event, but Windows cannot find the proper message text for it.
This doesn’t indicate the root cause itself—only that the driver tried to report an error, but Windows lacks the corresponding message definition (usually due to driver package inconsistency or corruption).
Feel free to let me know if you have questions or need clarification.
Best regards,
JeanetteC.
