@Anonymous,
Yea, this is pointing to the same driver version that is in the packages that I am providing. Why it is in the catalog and won't install automatically, IDK.

Hello Scott,
Do you happen to have an authentic AC7260 driver v.17.15.0.5 by any chance? If so, could I obtain a copy, please?
Thank you so much for your generosity.

No, sorry, my archives don't go back that far. Best I can do is Wireless package 20.120.1, which included the 18.33.15.1 driver, and Bluetooth package 20.120.2.
There are archives of Intel's Download Center in the Internet Archive and the you can use their WayBack Machine to ferret out older packages. Start here: https://archive.org/web. Enter downloadcenter.intel.com in the search window and go looking back in time.
Hope this helps,

Just wanted to report back that the drivers provided have helped me twice now.
Since February, I've ordered and installed another 7260 in my other old laptop. This time my 9-year old Acer Aspire V5-572G, which was having trouble connecting to my newer Bluetooth devices. Also a big help to network connectivity since the flimsy retainer on the RJ45 port broke a long time ago (and is held together with duct tape now).
With the improved WLAN cards and other upgrades I've installed on this and my Asus K43SV, I'm hoping to keep both in working condition as home office computers for at least another 5 more years.
Here's to keeping legacy software publicly available and keeping old tech working and relevant.
