My XP-Pro came with the Intel PRO/Wireless 3845ABG Network Connection Adapter Card. Someone on the Microsoft Answers Forum said that I should not be online with this computer. You know what I think? Some British authors of articles on this concur with me. Ending XP support was a scheme to get us to buy more Microsoft stuff. I have another computer running Window 7 64-Bit about which I am not pleased. At some point, when I get done modifying and using my document files, I will back them up and install a Linux based OS. For now, does anybody agree with Microsoft? My connection is through the Intel software that came with updated drivers, not Windows.

Hi troothteller,
I understand your situation and I would feel the same if I were affected by this change. I know there are many users still running Windows XP in their systems so this definitely will be a big change for them.
