Problem with Windows® 10 and Windows 11* Wi-Fi Drivers for Intel® Wireless Adapters 22.250.1.2

I tried installing the new drivers but only the BT drivers were installed with out any problems but for the wi-fi driver there are issues.

The first thing i tired was going back to the old driver versions 22.240 that didn't work.

This is the link where i took the old drivers from - https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19351/windows-10-and-windows-11-wi-fi-drivers-for-intel-wireless-adapters.html

The second thing was to uninstall all the drivers and restart the laptop, that didn't work either.

I have attached the error message and the log it showed and there is also the system software utility report.

Still unable to resolve this. Let me know if any other steps can help.

RaygustThank you for posting in the Intel® Communities Support.

We are sorry to hear about this issue and we will be more than glad to assist you with this matter.

In order for us to provide the most accurate assistance on this scenario, we just wanted to confirm a few details about your system:

What is the model of your Intel® wireless card?

Is this a new computer?

Is there any issue with the wireless connection? If yes, please describe the problem.

Was this specific machine working fine before?

Did you make any recent hardware/software changes, besides trying to update the drivers, that might cause the issue?

The wireless card, did you purchase it separately or did it come installed on the computer?

Does the problem happen at home or in the work environment?

Any questions, please let me know.

Regards,

Albert R.

  • The wireless card is no longer appearing in the network adapter list, this happened right away after the updating the new drivers failed and wi-fi stopped working.
  • No  its not a new computer and have never face this issue before when updating the new drivers.
  • I am currently using internet through usb tethering  because wi-fi is not working.
  • No changes done to the any software or hardware before this.
  • This wireless card has been working fine before but this is the first time this has happened.
  •  This is my personal laptop.

Laptop - Asus Rog Strix 15 GL503E

Can i have the old drivers in non-executable file because the executable file just gives the same response as mentioned above.

As for rest of device details i have attached in the report.

Raygust, Thank you very much for providing that information and the SSU report.

Based on the information shown in the SSU document and as you mentioned, for some reason the wireless card is not being detected by the system.

For this scenario, it is important to mention that we always recommend to install the wireless driver provided by the manufacturer of the computer, since that driver was heavily customized by them to work with your specific platform.

I looked on ASUS website and the latest wireless driver they have available is version V22.130.0.5. Please try a clean installation of that driver following the instructions in the links below:

https://www.asus.com/us/supportonly/gl503ge/helpdesk_download/

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000022173/wireless.html

If the problem persists after that, even though the Intel® wireless drivers are generic, for testing purposes, please try a clean installation this time of wireless driver version 22.250.1.2:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19351/windows-10-and-windows-11-wi-fi-drivers-for-intel-wireless-adapters.html?wapkw=ac%209260

We also recommend to get in contact directly with ASUS Support to make sure the latest BIOS version is currently installed in your machine or to gather the instructions on how to update it:

Once you get the chance, please let us know the results.

Hello Raygust, I just received an update on this matter.

While we are working on this matter, we just wanted to confirm:

-The wireless card, did it come preinstalled or did you purchase it separately and then install it?

-When did the card disappear?

-What is the model of the Intel® wireless card?

Hi Alberto,

  • The wi-fi card came pre-installed with the laptop.
  • So after i did the Wi-Fi driver update the wi-fi stopped working, like in the next instant the error log pooped up as mentioned above Wi-Fi symbol was gone, device manager is not picking up anything regarding the wi-fi drivers.
  • I am unable to find out the model cause its not showing up on the device manager list.

Thanks

Raygust

Hello Raygust, I Just received an update on this matter.

After reviewing the case, since we cannot confirm the model of the Intel® wireless card, the best suggestion we can provide will be to get in contact directly with the manufacturer of the computer to report this situation. They did the integration of all the parts and they also provide the warranty for all the components, they might be able to reproduce the issue using the same exact machine you are working with, provide a fix for it, do a physical inspection of the computer if needed, test different drivers, provide further suggestions or technical assistance and ultimately replace the laptop under their warranty policies. At this moment, to get in contact directly with them will be the best thing to do for this specific situation:
