Problem with intel AX-200

Hello,

I have a problem with an Intel AX-210 card, the card does not work when I first start the computer. In the device manager it pops up an error 45 and a message in event log
"Device PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2723&SUBSYS_00808086&REV_1A4&244e1dbf&0&0012 requires further installation."
But when I restart the computer the network card starts working again and everything works normally a bit annoying as in the morning I always have to restart the computer before starting work with the knowledge that the network card will not turn on. I have observed a similar situation when the computer goes into sleep mode also the wifi stops working after waking up. Please help

Things I have tried to do to fix the situation:
- Clean driver installation
- Unchecking power management in the device manager

Hi @CatXeN

Check if the problem disappears after disabling Fast Startup

Hi @CatXeN

One thing more you can do is to perform a Clean Boot. If the WiFi works after performing a Clean Boot, you will be able to troubleshoot which application causes this problem.

Unfortunately the fast startup did not help, so I will try the clean boot.

On cleen boot the wifi also switches off after the computer goes to sleep.

So the problem is not to be solved, but an electronic problem? I should add that I have already bought 2 AX-200s and the same thing happens on both, so I can rule out cath failure alone.

Oh, and I'd like to add that bluetooth works without a problem from intel

I'm confused now. In your first post your complain was that the WiFi adapter is not connected after powering ON your computer and remains connected after restart.

Now, in the last post you wrote: "On cleen boot the wifi also switches off after the computer goes to sleep."

In this case I suggest that you open  your WiFi Adapter Properties, then click on Configure and open the Power Management tab.

In the Power Management tab, uncheck the "Allow the computer to turn off this device ...."

I wrote in my question that I tried unchecking power management but that didn't help either, I have no idea about this problem. This problem has 2 cases.

1 case: When I start the laptop after a long break

2 case: when the laptop goes to sleep and I wake it up

Hello CatXeN,

We are glad to see that fellow community members have helped you with your problem. We would like to jump in and help you with your problem.

To better assist you, we would like to confirm the following:

  • What is the model of your laptop?
  • Did your WiFi connection use to work without an issue before?
  • Have you checked if this issue happens on different networks?
  • Are you able to reproduce the same issue while on a hardwired connection?
  • You mentioned that you have already bought 2 AX-200s. We want to confirm if this is the original adapter that came pre-installed in your system or if you have changed/installed a new adapter recently.

Best regards,

- LEGION 5 15ARH05H

- Yes, it used to work before, it just suddenly stopped working I have had the laptop for over 2 years and 3 months and let's say it's been happening for 2 months now

- Yes, I have checked both at home and on my parents' network and it happens here and there, and you don't even have to connect to the network for the wifi to fail.

- No cable I have absolutely no problem and to make things interesting if I am not mistaken this card has wifi and bluetooth and I have not noticed a problem with bluetooth (only using a cable connection is not always possible)

- So yes, I'm currently using the one I bought because it seems to be a problem on both so I didn't want to change to the old one but I still own the two

Hello CatXeN,

Thanks for the information provided

Since you have already performed the integration, it is important to understand that it may not work due to hardware or software compatibility issues or dependencies. Your system manufacturer may have altered the features, incorporated customizations, or made other changes to the software or hardware packaging they provide. Only the manufacturer or its authorized representative can install the adapters. You should contact Lenovo to confirm the proper installation steps for the device and confirm if it is compatible with your system, we understand that this is the exact model as the one that came pre-installed with the system; however, the OEM changes may case that the new adapter to not work.

Lenovo can also do a hardware inspection to discard that this is a hardware-related problem.
