Swapped my Wifi card to Intel AX210, internet becomes unusable

I swapped my old wifi card to Intel AX210 on my Zephyrus g14 2022. (with the newest driver 23.90.0.2)

For the first minute or so upon testing everything was great, the connection was stable and faster than before.

After coming back in an hour or so the wifi speed was beyond slow, almost unusable and this persisted. I tried to troubleshoot and tweak some options in the device manager but nothing worked.

I boiled it down to disconnecting my external monitor and this seemed to fix the issue, but this is not a workable solution.  As soon as I plugged it back, the connection turned slow again.

I also noticed that the network bandwidth stays at 2.4 GHz with the ax210 but 5 GHz with the old card. Could this be causing the slow speed as well?

Link speed (receive/transit) with the ax210 was at 2000/162000 (Kps)

Any ideas on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.

hey, i might have fixed it , what worked for me is setting the wifi adapter to utilize 5ghz always in the device mananager and also using the 802.11ax.

See if this works for you, cheers
