Current driver installed: WiFi_21.80.2_Driver64_Win10.exe

Driver Provider: Intel

Driver Date: 2/25/2020

Driver Version: 21.80.2.1

Attempted to uninstall and try driver version 21.70.0, by uninstalling the device and software fails to uninstall the driver. A reboot brings the device back with the current driver level. Trying to install the older driver is rejected because the newer driver is present.

Device Manager:

Device status:

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

The requested operation was unsuccessful.

This system does NOT have UEFI enabled in BIOS and Windows is NOT configured with secure boot.

OS: Windows 10 Home, 64-bit build 18363

I thought this should be a simple plug & play operation, but I've now spent 5 hours troubleshooting it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

After making the changes that you made (which you should have done - and stuck with - long ago, just saying), I suggest that you try doing a clean reinstallation of the driver stack - and yes, include both Bluetooth and Wireless.

Hope this helps,

It looks like it's not even secure boot related. I just went and disable secure boot, but left it uefi instead of back to csm as it was, and loaded back into windows, and wifi card still same issue. Went back into bios and switched uefi to csm, and wifi card works again once back in windows.
