Wifi driver AX210 keeps disappearing

Hello everyone. Lately, when using my laptop (ASUS TUF Gaming F15), I often encounter the issue of the Wi-Fi icon disappearing, and when I check in Device Manager, the Wi-Fi driver is not visible. This happens every day, which is very annoying. Sometimes I have to restart my laptop 4 or 5 times for the Wi-Fi to reappear. And by the way, I've tried Intel PROset/Wireless Wifi Software to reinstall the Wi-Fi driver whenever the situation happens, but it seems like the Intel PROset/Wireless Wifi Software is useless. I always update BIOS and windows
I don't know what the problem is. Please help me.

Hello HieuTran,

Thank you for posting in Intel Communities.

To better understand the issue and offer an effective solution, please provide the following key information:

1) Can you confirm if this is the actual system device you are using?

2) Since the issue seems to have started recently, were there any changes made before it occurred? This could include hardware additions, software/application installations, OS and driver updates, or BIOS settings changes.

Additionally, I appreciate you sharing your system configuration so we can thoroughly assess and provide an accurate fix. You can do this by downloading the Intel® System Support Utility for Windows* software. When the download is complete, launch SSU.exe.

  • Scan: Check the box Everything.
  • Click Scan.
  • Review: When finished scanning, click Next.
  • Click Save (.txt).
  • Attach the SSU log file as you reply.

I look forward to your response.

Best regards,

JeanetteC.

Hi JeanetteC,

Thank you for supporting me .

1)  That is not my system device. My system device model is actually ASUS TUF Gaming F15 FX506HC (the one with i711800h).

2) I believe there was not any changes before my problem happen.

About 2 years ago, I replaced the default Realtek Wi-Fi card in my laptop with an Intel AX210. Could the problem be that the Wi-Fi card is too old?
I have attached the SSU log file you request.

Hope you can help me solve the problem.

Best regards,

HieuTran

Hello HieuTran,

Based on the log file you shared, you already have the latest driver (ver. 23.120.0.3). However, you may still try to proceed with a clean installation of that same driver. You may also check the Recommended Settings for 802.11ax Connectivity to improve the wireless connectivity.

However, if the issue persists, you may check this reference article:

Regulatory Information Regarding Wireless Hardware Installation or Upgrade

It is still best to check with your system manufacturer support team if the issue is due to hardware compatibility or something else. They are the best team to check the supported upgrade components for your system device.

I hope this helps.

Best regards,

Hello HieuTran,

Since I haven't received a response from you in the past few days, I will go ahead and close this thread.

I hope you had the time to try the recommendations I shared. However, I still strongly suggest to check with your system manufacturer support team if the issue is due to hardware compatibility or something else. They are the best team to check the supported upgrade components for your system device.
