Hello Sivaraman,
Please note the driver is available for download for other Wireless adapters. The one you have is not listed under the valid products for the download so you may get unexpected behavior during the installation or usage of the software.
Here you can see the compatible products with the software:

This was the driver I downloaded from the link below. But still it is installing only the 'LITE' version, & not the 'FULL' version.
Does that mean 'Intel(R) dual band wireless-AC 7260' supports only 'LITE'version, & not FULL version?

Hello Sivaraman,
We have a tool called Intel® PROSet that pretty much has all the functions and features of the WiFi Dashboard. Is there any specific feature you are trying to use or looking for?

Hi Sivaraman,
Please find the below link which gives some information of why only the lite version is getting installed:
http://www.intel.com/support/notebook/sb/CS-033660.htm http://www.intel.com/support/notebook/sb/CS-033660.htm
So now as you have already mentioned that you have installed the 15.6.0 version of Proset drivers, I would request that you can try installing the below drivers and check if you are facing the same issue:
