Windows 10 Connectivity Prioritization

I have a windows 10 x64 notebook with the Intel Dual Band wireless - AC 8260 and an Intel Ethernet 1219-LM adapters. When both wired and wireless are enabled, it appears wireless has priority. I need to change this so wired will be the priority connection when both are enabled.

I thought the Proset AdministratorToolkit was the way to go, but I get the impression it is not available or not supported with Windows 10.

Hello DougPQ,

We understand that you want to set the network priority, using Ethernet over Wi-Fi. It is important to mention that in Windows® 10 this feature is handled between the OS and the PC, therefore, Intel does not provide any tools to modify this setting. You might want to check with Microsoft* or the Computer Manufacturer for further details.

In our best effort, here is some information that you may find useful:

- If you wish to disable wireless completely, some PC's have an option in the BIOS that allows to disable Wireless when an Ethernet connection is detected. You can confirm this with the http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/topics/OEMs.html Computer Manufacturer Support.

- If you require both network interfaces to be operational but with different priority, then you will need to use Windows* configuration to do it. We actually found an external page that has basic instructions for it:
