how can I configure my Intel Pro 2200 bg wireless to work in Europe?

I'm trying to connect to my house wifi in the Czech Republic. The device is "working properly", the wireless is "On" using an ad-hoc channel (value 11), but no wireless networks are detected in range. Isn't there a country code for the radio frequency setting?
