To the Intel Technical Support Team,
I am writing to report a persistent technical issue regarding my Intel Wi-Fi adapter. Recently, my system has been experiencing frequent and sudden internet disconnections.
Upon checking the Windows Event Viewer, I found a high frequency of critical errors generated by the Netwtw10 driver. The logs indicate multiple instances of the following Event IDs occurring within seconds of each other:
Event ID 5002: Internal failure has occurred.
Event ID 5005: Intel(R) Wi-Fi adapter has encountered an internal error and has failed.
Event ID 5032: Driver failed to complete a command.
Event ID 5007: The driver has failed to load.
These errors lead to a complete drop in connection, requiring the system to reset the adapter or a full reboot to restore functionality.
System Environment:
OS: Windows 11, version 25H2
Adapter Model: Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201
I have tried basic troubleshooting such as network resets and reinstalling the drivers, but the problem persists. Could you please provide guidance on whether this is a known firmware issue or if there is a specific driver version recommended to resolve these recurring internal errors?
I have attached a screenshot of the Event Viewer logs for your reference.
Looking forward to your assistance.
Best regards,
Rex

Hi rex923,
Thank you for posting in Intel Community. The Event IDs you're experiencing (5002, 5005, 5032, 5007) could be related to several factors associated to firmware or operating system issues.
In many cases, this type of behavior can be addressed by installing the latest wireless driver version like 24.40.0.4 from the Windows 10 and Windows 11* Wi-Fi package driver version 24.40.0. To help you further, you may check the following articles below for detailed troubleshooting steps.
Intel Wireless Adapter Keeps Disconnecting from the Network
Quick Checks to Improve or Fix Wi-Fi Connection Issues
If in case the issue persists after completing the steps outlined in the articles above, please provide the following:
- What was the exact wireless driver version previously installed, including the version you used during reinstallation?
- Were there any recent changes made to the system, such as hardware or software before the issue occurred?
- Did you modify any wireless adapter settings before the issue appears?
- Do you see any error code on the Device Manager?
- What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far, aside from the ones you already mentioned?
- May I know how you tried to update/install the wireless driver? Is it through an application or a manual update?
- To clarify, are you reporting for the wireless adapter that came pre-installed in your system, or have you changed/installed a new adapter as an upgrade to your device?
- Is the system primarily used for personal or home use, or is it part of a corporate or managed IT environment?
I have also sent a message to your active email address to gather additional details for further review. Kindly check your Inbox, Spam, or Junk folder.
Best regards,
Nathaniel N.
