mossmann,
According to your post, we understand you have the intention to replace your current wireless adapter for the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-N 7260 or Intel® Wireless-N 7260. If that is so, it may be that either one of these adapters are not fully compatible with your system, and with that being said, we would like to inform you that Intel does not support integration which is when the original wireless adapter is replaced. Please access these links for further information on this matter:http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/cs-011644.htm Intel® Wi-Fi Products — Regulatory Information Regarding Hardware Installation or Upgrade and http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/CS-031167.htm Intel® Wi-Fi Products — Why Doesn't My Laptop Recognize My New Intel® Wireless Adapter? We recommend first that you contact your computer manufacturer as they are the only ones who can provide a list of wireless adapters that are approved and compatible with your system and only them or an authorized technician can do the replacement. Here you can find your computer manufacturer information: http://www.intel.com/support/oems.htm Computer Manufacturer Support
