EMC compatibility and beam stability of hard copy ASICs

Is there a source of information describing the EMC-related differences of a) Altera FPGAs and b) Altera hard Copy ASICs ?

Could HARDCOPY ASICs be considered to more more resistant against electro magnetical fields?

Another question: What can be said about beam resistance of these devices? I especially focus on particle beams. I am involved in creating FPGAs to be used in such environments and we wonder about malfunctions and possible errors caused by beam particles.

It sounds like you are concerned about single event upset. Searches on www.altera.com for "SEU" and "single event upset" return lots of hits.
