I am trying to use the Byte Blaster II cable to program jam/jbc file from Quartus II programer. I know that I can use the USB blaster cable but eventually I need to use the jam player which supports only Byte blaster II cable.
I am able to install the byte balster driver from the driver directory under Quartus. Thiis is seen by the device manager in Win XP but it is not seen by Quartus II programmer.
Just to make sure that my Quartus programmer is installed correctly, I succesfully installed usb blaster cable and it was recognized by Quartus II programmer.
In order to have the Byte blaster II cable recognized by Quartus II programmer, do I need to have LPT1 (paralle port) working? I am assuming that the parallel port is working but I do not have a way to test it.
I wanted to know if any one has seen this issue.
