Computer shutdown automaticlly when using vTune.

Hi,

I have a question to ask about vTune.

The vTune whichI use is evaluation version.I downloaded it from www.intel.com., and the version number is 8.0.0.14. It is downloaded and installed successfully.

But, my computer will shutdown automaticlly if using vTune to create a new project.

The methods to create a new project are using QPA wizard and Sampling wizard.

Computerenviroment is: intel CELLERON processor, WINDOWS2000 OS, Visual Studio 6.0.

Whether I can use vTune or NOT? Why my computer shutdown, can you help me?

Thank you.

Yes, I also saw the RELEASENOTES.txt file in the setup folder. It notes that WINDOWS2000 is NOT supported, and WINDOWS XP SP2 is supported.

But, when we re-installed vTune under WINDOWS XP SP2 OS, and re-start it to create a new project, it shutdown and reboot again. Just as before!

Have any other reasons else?
