Why do the Windows and Linux versions cost the same? They don't provide the same functionality or features, so why in the world would the cost the same?
Linux version has no GPU support, which nowadays is HUGE for HPC community (the community that mostly uses linux) and yet the Linux version is the same price?
Why is this?

When VTune(TM) Amplifier XE 2013 initial releasing, Windows and Linux version have same functions and features. GPU support is additional new feature on Windows in Updates.

Yes, but it's a feature that Windows NOW has that Linux does not, YET the NOW price is the same. This does not make sense. Basically, if you develop on Linux, you are paying the same price for a inferior product.
