I am trying to run vtl after a clean install without errors.
When executing:
vtl activity -c sampling run
I get the following error:
Couldn't get object name for the processor with CPUID EAX: 0x662
Any idea, what the problem might be and how to fix it?

Nice to see you onboard, posting, rzippeleus. (Catchy handle).

Out of curiousity, which processor are you running on? (The hidden question: is it in the list of those processors which are supported in the release notes?)

cheers

I thought it was an Intel Pentium IV, but after giving it a closer look it turned out to be an AMD Athlon XP, which does not seem to be supported by Vtune.
Switching to a "real" Pentium IV fixed the problem.
