Dual core and Linux* 2.6 kernel support added to VTune performance analyzer 7.2!
Processor Pack 1 (vpa_7.2_pp1.zip) adds support for the Intel Pentium Processor Extreme Edition and Pentium D processors. It also addresses known issues with Microsoft* Windows* XP SP2 and Windows XP/Server 2003 x64 editions. Finally, it includes an update to the remote agent for Linux* that adds 2.6 kernel support (IA32 and Intel EM64T only) for Red Hat* Fedora Core 2 and Enterprise Linux 4.0, as well as SuSE* Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 9 SP1. vpa_7.2_pp1.zip from
Intel Premier Support, in the File Downloads area for the
VTune Performance Analyzer (select this name in the
Product drop down list and press the
Display File List button).
If you did not opt-in to technical support, please return to the
registration center and log in. Once logged in, click on Intel Premier Support. You should be prompted to create you account at that point. If not, please send an email requesting an account to
