Hello,
I have been using VTune performance analyzer for linux kernel modules especially to find out hotspots.
I understand PTU can be used to analyze the peformance of user space application. I am wondering if i could use PTU to analyze my own kernel modules performance in the similar way i have been using VTune.
I could not find in any documentation that i can or cannot use PTU for kernel modules and also the steps.
Any help on this is appreciated.
Thanks,
Ganesh

Hi Ganesh,
Please note that VTune Performance Analyzer is old product, use latest product VTune Amplifier XE instead. PTU is not formal product.
If you can't find hot function name in kernel module from the report, please reference this article.
