Problem to uninstall VTune from a Debian system

Hello,

I installed a Non Commercial version of VTune, and I now want to uninstall it (I have some problem with VTune on my machine, I will post another thread about that).

When I try to lauch the uninstall program: /opt/intel/vtune/bin/uninstall_vtune.sh
The output is:
No products are available for uninstall.

The uninstall script presumably looks in rpmdb before continuing. Assuming that you installed in some fashion other than by use of rpm, you would select a corresponding method for removal.

I installed VTune using the classical method, ie. using the install.sh script. I think remember this script is based upon rpm. In the other hand, I am using Debian: rpm is not installed, there is no file called rpmdb in the system, there is no process containing rpm string.

I will uninstall by hand, but I was curious to find the reason.
