Symbols resolution for a Collection

Hi,

The two links below seem to imply it is possible to load symbols on a Collection, as long as the entire set of binaries/executables are available to VTune to cross reference and then identify the matching symbols.

Is there any way to load symbols on a Collection, on a remote system, without having the binaries/executables from the target system?

presently, I have a Collection, has some interesting info, and I am trying to avoid recollection.  Windbg loads the symbols (from MSFT symbols server and our unique addition), so the symbols are available.  My problem is the Collection was done on another system (target) and moved to the analysis system.

Hi,

Thank you for posting your question.

VTune requires access to symbols for resolution to function names and source code, including during finalization and re-finalization when importing into the VTune GUI (e.g: on another system).

The VTune CLI has an "archive" option which is intended to package all required on target information with the VTune results for this portability scenario. Please refer the below link for more information:

If you need any further assistance, please let us know.

Thanks
