Thread Profiler's timeline view "Reduced Items..." tool tip info?

Since I can not find the user forum for Thread Profiler, I'm posting the following question here in VTune forum...

When I placed a mouse over in the timeline view of Thread Profiler for Windows (TP), TP shows tool tip info as follows:

"Reduced Items

Active - 4

Spin - 3

Wait - 4"

Can anyone help me to understand what this means?

This message means there is more detail available under the mouse pointer than can be shownat that point in thetimeline. In this case there the thread isrunning (active) 4 times, spin waiting 3 times, and waiting in the OS 4 times. Zoom in further in the timeline view, and you will see the individual items.
