Hi,
I'm sorry, but I can't find simple instructions on how to run. Maybe you could make a 'sticky' in the forum with this information?
What do I do? Which compiler flags does vtune need. Do I just compile with -g then type amplxe-gui? Where are amplxe-cli command instructions located? I direct an input file into the code, i.e. %code < read_input. How do I put that in the gui?
If there is a 'vtune for dummies', please send me the link.
Thanks!

Hi Lisa,
here is a search for videos on Vtune Amplifier on Youtube. I hope this helps you out:
https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=vtune+amplifier
There is a special Intel software tools channel on Youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/user/intelsoftwaretools
It hosts lots of videos on the Intel software products, including Vtune Amplifier.
Cheers,
Otto

Additionally, at the end of installation, on Windows a web page is opened with most of this info (located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\VTune Amplifier XE 2015\documentation\en\welcomepage\getting_started.html and available from the Help menu of amplxe-gui). On Linux, if the GUI install (install_GUI.sh) is used, the same page is opened in a browser. If the command line install (install.sh) is used, text is displayed explaining how to invoke the VTune Amplifier.
If you did not perform the installation, the best thing to do is invoke amplxe-gui (after sourcing amplxe-vars.sh on Linux) and use the Help menu to find information about how to use the VTune Amplifier.
