VTune 7.1 - Using Linux RDC

Hello,
I am new to VTune. I am currently using VTune 7.1 as VTune analyzer for Linux 2.0 does not support RH 9.0 or RHEL 3.0.
I do not have a windows machine that can connect to the linux machine. I have installed VTune RDC on Linux machine. However, I was unable to find any information on how to use the RDC stand-alone.
Is there anyway that I could collect data on Linux and use it on Windows machine located somewhere else? Is the pack and go feature mentioned in one of the other posts provided with VTune 7.1? Is there any users guide that details about this situation?
thanks,
Kalyan

Hi kalyana:

The remote data collection (RDC) cannot be used standalone. It is for collecting data remotely with the Windows*-based VTune analyzer. Without a Windows system, you have to use the VTune analyzer for Linux product. However, as you have noted, it does not yet support EL3.0. An alternative might be to use AS2.1 to analyze your code?
