VTune with a Windows Service?

I downloaded the VTune Profiler 2022.3.0.

I have a C++ Windows Service I created with Visual Studio 2019.

The problem I'm having is it's a service executable and can't run from a standalone command line, which is what VTune expects.

How do I setup VTune so I can profile my service (which is running on another computer) and so I know what functions are consuming the most CPU?

Hi,

Thank you for posting in Intel communities.

You can use remote target to profile your application running on another machine

Please refer the below link if you want to profile windows targets

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/develop/documentation/vtune-help/top/set-up-analysis-target/windows-targets.html

For linux target, please refer below link:

Hope this helps. If you face any issue, please let us know.
