explain the function summary panel

i'm looking at the function summary panel in the "call graph", and need to understand something..

a) what is the number inside the (), example Call(41) or Function(41).. what is 41?

b) the tooltip says that the duration of the sampling was 158 seconds, but the total "self-time" is 198 seconds??

a) The number inside the parens is the "activity result id." This is only useful when doing compares, as it is the only way to know which activity a specific statistic belongs to.


b) can you post an image showing what you are talking about? I'm not sure what you mean.
