Hi,
I would like to know whether or not there is support for Remote Analysis for ARM-Linux Using VTune Amplifier XE 2017.
I have an embedded system (Raspberry Pi Model B which has ARM-Cortex A53) with Ubuntu MATE 16.04 installed on it.
And I was attempted to install VTune (CLI version) in the Ubuntu MATE.
However, after running install.sh inside the CLI_install folder of VTune Amplifier installation package,
I got an error, which is "CPU family not supported".
Thus, I have 3 questions here,
1) What are the supported CPU families for remote analysis?
2) Can VTune be used to analyze code on that particular embedded platform?
3) Is it only Yocto image has board support package (BSP)? How can I find out whether an OS has BSP or not?
Thank you.
Best Regards,
Claudia

Hi Claudia,
VTune Amplifier XE requires IA-32 or Intel® 64 architecture processor. Please see details in the "System Requirements" section of the release notes: https://software.intel.com/sites/default/files/managed/dd/8d/release_notes_amplifier_linux.pdf

Hi,
It is stated in the release note that, aside from ia32 and ia64 processors, VTune could also be run at system based on compatible non-Intel processor.
What are the compatible non-Intel processors? Is ARM-Cortex A53 one of them?
Thank you.
Best Regards,
Claudia
