Has anyone installed vtune linux on mac os X ??
I got strange error related to basename, and ps secore option... blah blah..

No, it's not meant to work. Get the VTune which matches your OS.

And, in this case, I'm sorry, but there is no VTune analyzer for Max OSX*. Instead, use Shark*.
