vcs/collectunits1/sal/src/linux/sal.c:831 sal_munmap: Assertion 'result == 0' failed

When I made use of vtune to do profiling, following error is seen, the profiling stopped.
vcs/collectunits1/sal/src/linux/sal.c:831 sal_munmap: Assertion 'result == 0' failed.

The tool I used is:
Intel VTune Amplifier XE 2016

Is there any solution to it? Thanks.

Hello,

This error is not known and v2016 of VTune is not supported.

Can you please upgrade to the v2018 (Update 2 is recommended)?

If the error persists in v2018 please file support ticket with specified OS (build/kernel version), HW model, used analysis and profiled workload type.
