vtune and CPU isolation

Can anyone please share if vtune can inspect processes on an isolated CPU? I have a CentOS 5.x host and Vtune 9.1u2. Irqbalance service is running with two CPUs masked in /etc/sysconfig/irqbalance. It seems vtune cannot get information out of a process if it pins to the isolated CPU.

If I understood it properly VTune kernel driver is prevented from reading/writing MSR registers on isolated CPU.
