Here goes
I created a sampling activity using sampling wizard with default events (Clockticks, Instructions retired).
The project was compiled on a Pentium 4 using Intel compiler and I'm trying to profile it on a dual Xeon machine. It runs with given arguments just fine from the command line, but refuses to under VTune. All paths in activity configuration are correct, I double (triple and quadruple) checked that ;)
I need hints as to what the heck is the problem, because I'm out of ideas myself ;(
Couldn't find much in VTune help files or these forums, or google...
Btw, VTune version is 7.2

It appears that I can't even run notepad under VTune (it runs on my desktop just fine).
Looks like something is seriously wrong with VTune configuration on this Xeon machine..
where should I look?
