Ilkka RäsänenIlkka Räsänen is the director of public policy for Europe and head of the Brussels office for Intel Corporation. His group’s charter is to represent Intel’s views in the European Union (EU) institutions, EU Member States and technical standards bodies. Ilkka previously worked for Intel in Washington D.C., where he helped the company establish and develop its Global Information and Communication Technology and Development function.

Prior to joining Intel, Ilkka served in the European Commission as a member of Cabinet of Commissioner Erkki Liikanen, where his responsibilities included formulation and negotiation of telecommunications and information society policies and regulations within the EU.

Ilkka holds a master’s degree in European studies from College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium, and a master’s degree in political science and economics from the University of Helsinki, Finland.
