Note from the blog manager: Michelle, a recruiter turning Hiring Event Program Manager, has traveled all summer in search for more talent. After a series of blog posts, she’s here to summarize her summer!

Michelle here again - Recruiter turned Hiring Event Program Manager for the summer. We interviewed some great engineers in Dallas. So many it looks like we won’t need to go to Hudson, MA this summer. The people in Dallas were great, the heat was not – it was 106 the day we were there!

I’ve really enjoyed this summer and traveling to meet a lot of great engineers and architects here in the United States. Maybe I’ll get to do it again next summer!
In the meantime if you want to learn more about positions we are hiring for, the great cities where we have job opportunities, and how to apply visit the Jobs at Intel site.

I met a ton of people this summer and wanted to share some tips that will help you when applying: - Pay attention to the business group description for the position you are applying for so that if you are called for an interview you can be more prepared by understanding the exact products this group works on. - If you see a few similar positions don’t assume that by applying for one your resume will be seen by all the recruiters at Intel that look for that type of position. Pay attention to the business group on the req and if the positions are in different business groups, be sure to apply for one that is in each of the different business groups - this will give your resume more visibility to the different recruiters at Intel. We (recruiters) are aligned by business group here at Intel. I, for example, am now going back to my role as a Recruiter for our Netbook and Tablet Group.

Side note: I’m looking for Windows Architects with 10 years experience in device drivers/firmware and a couple years of it in the area of GFX, video/audio, or tablets. Apply directly to the req today!

It was great blogging and sharing my experience with you this summer! If I’m ever on the road again, I hope to see you then! Until next time…
