The Nios® V/c compact microcontroller is the third and the latest addition to the Nios V soft processor family and is supported in Intel® Agilex®, Intel® Stratix® 10, Intel® Arria® 10, and Intel® Cyclone® 10 GX FPGAs and SoCs.  With the Nios V processor, you can easily create a processor and peripheral system using the traditional hardware tool flows like Intel® Quartus® Prime Software and Platform Designer as needed for your production solution. The Nios V/c compact microcontroller is based on the RISC-V RV32I instruction set and is designed for area-constrained microcontroller applications.

In addition, in the Intel Quartus Prime Pro software version 23.3, the Nios V/g general-purpose processor has expanded capabilities with the introduction of tightly coupled memories, error correction code, and floating-point unit support. The Nios V/m microcontroller core is further enhanced with ECC support and pipelined and non-pipelined modes that let you tune the performance and area for your application needs. Furthermore, to increase productivity, the Nios V configurable example design added to Intel Quartus prime pro software version 23.3 lets you configure the parameters of the example like the Nios V variant, debug logic enabled or disabled, user selectable memory size and other components of the design example so you can get started immediately with the Nios V processor.

You can sign up for the license for the Nios® V processor cores from the Self-Service Licensing Centre and try it out in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software v23.3 yourself.
