Join us at Cal Hacks 10.0, the world’s largest collegiate hackathon of the year, to be held in San Francisco (California) on Oct 27-29, 2023. The mega event is going to be the one of its kind where 2000+ AI developers of STEM disciplines will collaborate in the Bay Area.

Intel has partnered with Cal Hacks to provide hackers with AI compute resources in the form of the Intel® Developer Cloud. At the hackathon, you will learn about Intel’s AI/ML Framework optimizations, end-to-end portfolio of AI/ML tools and the unified, open, standards-based Intel® oneAPI programming model that forms the foundation of our AI Software Portfolio. You will also have an opportunity to interact with our team and know about the Intel® Liftoff program for AI startups.

Sneak Peek at the Cal Hacks Group

Cal Hacks is a non-profit organization formed by the students of UC Berkeley that conducts large-scale hackathons and other computer science related activities. It has organized 11 hackathons with 2500+ project submissions so far.

Opportunity to Leverage Intel® Developer Cloud

Intel Developer Cloud is a unified platform for developers to build, test and optimize AI and HPC workloads on Intel’s accelerated architectures using Intel®-optimized software products of your choice.

Resources available on Intel Developer Cloud include:

We encourage you to set up an account and get started with scalable AI training, model optimization and inference workloads. You can also have early access to prerelease versions of Intel’s accelerated hardware and associated optimized software stacks.

Participate in Cal Hacks 10.0 and try your hands on Intel Developer Cloud!

Join Intel® Liftoff Program and Uplift Your Startup!

Intel Liftoff, a major sponsor of Cal Hacks 10.0, is a free virtual program designed to help early-stage AI startups flourish in accelerated computing technology. It provides world-class expert-level guidance and training to help the AI startups transform into a large-scale, industry standards-based company. The program prepares them to unleash the performance of the Intel oneAPI programming model. Through workshops, online certification courses, events, expert forums, free cloud credits for Intel Developer Cloud and several other perks, the program helps them mark their positions in the venture capital industry.

Connect with the Intel Liftoff team at the hackathon and give your startup a new direction of entrepreneurial progress.

Get Innovative Insights from Intel Experts

At Cal Hacks 10.0, you can attend an interesting workshop on Wildfire Prediction using Intel® Extension for PyTorch. The session will cover how to classify ariel photos from National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP), a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)’s Farm Agency Program (FSP), using PyTorch with respect to NAIP forest fire regions two to three years later. You will also explore using Stable Diffusion to synthesize aerial photos for preliminary testing and validation of the above classification model.

Additionally, you can engage with our team members at the hackathon for any queries and fruitful conversations based on Intel® products.

See you in San Francisco!

We highly encourage you to join us at Cal Hacks 10.0 - spend quality time learning about and implementing the cutting-edge AI tools, libraries and framework optimizations of Intel.

Keep an eye on the event schedule and stay tuned for the latest updates!
